EOC Events page

The EOC Annual Conventions try to loosely follow a rotation of east, central, west so that hopefully every few years the meet is within a days drive of most club members. Recent sites: 2004 - St. Paul; 2005 - Portland, OR; 2006 Golden, CO; 2007 - Dearborn, MI (Joint meet with IEC & TEC). Typically a local chapter will volunteer to host an Annual Convention and their proposal and site is approved at the previous Annual Convention.

The 2008 EOC Convention will be in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada this year hosted by the Prairie Chapter.

Remember - Passport recommended but NOT REQUIRED for US citizens if you travel by land (Hint: drive your Edsel)

Room Rates: $125.00 Canadian + Tax for a deluxe guestroom and $160.00 + tax for a business suite; Rooms are blocked under Confirmation # EOG30A. Blocked rooms will be held until Monday June 30, 2008.

Thursday July 31, 2008: NOTE: All Edsels to be parked at Freedom Ford (across from Sheraton) by 6 p.m.	8 – 9 a.m.	Registration Crafts & Donations for Raffle accepted
	9:30 a.m.	Bus to Fort Edmonton Park
	7:00 p.m.	BBQ and 50’s Dance

Friday August 1, 2008: NOTE: Judging will be done on Friday	9 – 11 a.m.	Registration
	9 - noon	Judging cars and models
	9 a.m.	Bus to West Edmonton Mall
	10 a.m. –1 p.m.	Visit with Bailey the Buffalo
	1 p.m.	Bus from Mall to Hotel
	1:30 p.m.	Bus to West Edmonton Mall
	4:30 p.m.	Last bus from Mall to Hotel (you can return to Hotel at either 1 p.m. or 4:30 p.m.)
	2 – 5 p.m.	Parts Auction
	5 - 7:30 p.m.	Dinner on own
	7:30 p.m.	Entertainment & Funny Money Auction

Saturday August 2, 2008:	10 a.m.	Directors Meeting
	11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.	Lunch on own
	1 p.m. – 3p.m.	General Meeting (open to all but only EOC members can vote)
	6 p.m.	Cocktails
	7 p.m.	Banquet and Awards Ceremony

The Victoria Room will be open throughout the days. This is where Registration will be, Edsel Models on display, crafts for sale, raffle tickets on sale, silent auction items to bid on, etc. etc.

HOOSIER AUTO SHOW & SWAP MEET INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA MARION COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS SEPTEMBER 20, 2008
Hoosier swap meet in September this year will feature the Edsel for the 50 year anniversary. There will be a building for display that can hold approximately 30 Edsels plus club displays, Edsel literature, and signs. Jack Brown will arrange for motels and registration for any Edsel owners that are interestedin coming. You can contact Jack at 317-834-2505

September 7, 2008 San Franciso Bay Area - Fun Ford Sunday featuring the 50th anniversary of the Edsel and 100th anniversary of the Model T www.FunFordSunday.com

The German chapter of the Pre 50 will have it's 10th annual meeting in Stukenbrock Safaripark (between Bielefeld and Paderborn) on July 12th
and 13th. Because the first Edsels are still 50 years old, we will celebrate this double anniversary with a large parade and other events. Entry to the park is free for Pre 50 members and all others who drive up in an Edsel. Camping will be allowed in the park (tents and caravans), and for those who prefer a little more luxury there are hotels in the nearby town of Stukenbrock.
